Governors Battle Heritage In Non-Region Matchup
Gov Nation Network · April 9, 2026
The William Blount baseball team took the field against Heritage in a non-region contest this week. Final score details were not available, but the Governors competed through the full game on both sides of the ball.
Coach's pitching staff, including Jake Farmer, Chandler Tyler and Nolan Maples, worked through the Heritage lineup across the game, while the infield of Karson Hard, Mark Sackerman, Gavin Wilson and Nate Ownby stayed steady behind them. In the outfield, Tycen Moncivaiz, Ty Goins and Noah Hardin covered their ground, and Jackson Maurer handled things behind the plate.
At the plate, Lucas Crisp and Drew Campbell gave the lineup some length, and the Governors kept battling through the innings. William Blount will look to build on that effort as the season moves forward with more games on the schedule.
